An amazing 120 deg. flat panel sector (Mar 1, 2010)
Developing flat microstrip sectors with the very high Half Power Beam Width (HPBW), more than 70 - 80 deg. was always the complex work -
usually there was necessary to develop an antenna with multiple columns of patches and suitable phase shifters. To simplify desing process an
omnidirectional antenna with the appropriate back shield can be used. The final product was both complicated, heavy and expensive.
Until now.
Through a unique design approach, Elboxrf has developed and validated a new technology (patents pending) for spreading up beamwdth in
microstrip antennas. As a result brand new antennas was invented: the
Standard series
and the
TetraAnt_Pro series.
The
Standard_5_15_120_V_RSLL is claimed to be the industry first microstrip antenna that
includes in a one design the following:
- High polarization purity
- 120 deg. HPBW (3 dB)
- High bandwidth - 5.15 - 5.85 GHz
- Reduced SideLobe Level - RSLL
- Zero Squint Error
- Very low profile - only 15mm and the overall dimension 47 x 9 [cm]
