A new microstrip sector series developed under patented technology (Jan 15, 2010)
Based on the technology that was developed, validated and patented in 2008 and 2009, Elboxrf announced its newest STANDARD sector antenna
series. The first model - Standard_5_17_90_V_RSLL - features 17dBi gain, 90 deg. of HPBW, vertical polarization, an excellent polarization
parameters and a very low profile - only 15mm. Please go to the
Standard_5_17_90_V_RSLL page to
see more detailes.
To show the quality of this model please compare e.g. Gain and Polarization Purity of the new Standard sector antenna from Elboxrf to other
microstrip antennas on the market. The low number (in dB) in the Polarization Purity column, shows that antenna has a very low ability to
discriminate between H and V polarizations.
Because the sector antenna is almost always the basestation antenna, it will lower the quality of the whole network until the Crosspolarization
parameter will be high enough.
Example: the V polarized sector antenna with the polarization puriy: 8 dB, and the gain 15 dBi, will behave as an 15 dBi antenna for a V
polarization, and a 7 dBi antenna for H polarization. As a result - the low capacity in a wireless network.
